朝顔に　つるべとられて　もらい水

morning glory
climbing up the well-bucket
ask for water from the neighbor

 

As the morning glory tendril wound around her bucket,

she hesitated to use it ......  I think.

darkness just drifting on the river
the fireflies

Some historical documents say Kagano Tiyo was beautiful.

 

In her native haiku ,

she told darkness was just drifting on the river 

against the dim light of fireflies ... I think.

 spider lilies

 the more you fill my arms,
 the more I miss my mom.

Spider lily is called Manjushage or Higanbana in Japanese.
They both mean " flower in another world ".

One of familiar flowers in autumn.
 

Though the above haiku is sentimental, I sympathize with it.
